The Kovax 9710025 is a Medium Super Assilex Interface Pad, designed for use between the sanding disc and backup pad in the Kovax Super Assilex dry sanding system. Positioned as an intermediate layer during DA sanding, the interface pad increases surface flexibility and provides additional cushioning to minimize deep scratches and improve finish uniformity — particularly on curved or contoured body panels where direct backup pad contact would create uneven pressure.

The soft foam construction distributes sanding pressure more evenly across the abrasive disc, reducing hotspots and pigtailing for a cleaner scratch pattern. Recommended for use with Super Assilex discs from K-600 through K-1500 and with Super Buflex discs at K-2000 through K-3000 for optimal surface conformity. Compatible with the Kovax PROMA-X Air Sander, Kovax DA Sander, and most standard 6-inch DA sanders. Made in Japan by Kovax Corporation, leaders in coated abrasive technology for over 90 years.
